WTC Final: India and New Zealand complete squad for the ICC World Test Championship final.

WTC Final: The two finalists, India and New Zealand are all set for the clash of highest honour in the longest format of the game. Both the teams have done invariably well in the last past two years in test cricket and came up the ranks in order to be here at the finals of the ICC World Test Championship.

Today earlier both India and New Zealand announced their final squad for the ICC World Test Championship, which will begin on June 18th at Rose Bowl Southampton.

For India, KL Rahul, who was earlier reported to have scored a century in the intrasquad test match simulation, has been dropped from the side. 

Apart from him, all-rounder Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur, Mayank Agarwal and Axar Patel also missed out on the squad.

India’s squad for ICC World Test Championship Final:

Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli ©, Ajinkya Rahane, Hanuma Vihari, Rishabh Pant, Wrdddhiman Saha (wk), R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, Mohammad Shami, Umesh Yadav and Mohammad Siraj.

New Zealand also reduced their squad to just 15 members. The likes of Daryl Mitchell, Mitchell Santner, Doug Bracewell and Jacob Duffy have booked their tickets of home.

Kiwi coach Gary Stead announced that skipper Kane Williamson and BJ Watling will be available for the selection.

Both the players were rested in the second test match against England. The former picked up an injury on his left elbow while the latter had some back injuries.

Kane Williamson (C), Tom Blundell, Trent Boult, Devon Conway, Colin de Grandhomme, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Tom Latham, Henry Nicholls, Ajaz Patel, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Neil Wagner, BJ Watling and Will Young.
